ibis Music in Poland and Eastern Europe
« Music is a language that doesn’t speak in particular words. It speaks in emotions... Keith Richards »

"Music is an intrinsic aspect of every journey, but more than that; it is a real passion for ibis. We consistently make it a focus in our activities. Today, one of the distinctive features of ibis hotels all around the world is that our guests regularly have the opportunity to listen to live music. This unique experience have added a competitive advantage to their stay. As a brand, we like to support emerging artists as they pursue their dream career. Thanks to the ibis MUSIC campaign, we manage to reach these goals.” explains Agnieszka Kalinowska, Accor Group Brand PR, Events & Sponsorship Manager for Poland and the Baltic States.

Under the ibis MUSIC campaign, the Accor’s Eastern Europe division has organized five live music events this year. The choice of artists was based on their energy, their musical sensitivity and above all, the emotions their work induces. These events mainly intended to create a friendly atmosphere that helped ibis to forge bonds with guests while sharing the amazing emotions that triggered each five of the tremendous concerts.

The first concert took place in Lithuania. The ibis Vilnius Centre hotel opened up to new sensations with its transformation into an intimate performance space for two quite different performances: rock group Flash Voyage and Sisters On Wire, with their indie-pop vibe. In Czech Republic, the Hotel ibis Praha Old Town set up a vibrant venue for two young, ambitious and energetic Czech artists, Sofian Medjmedj and Karelll. The third event, held in Warsaw, was the first out of two concerts in Poland. The evening at the ibis Warszawa stare Miasto was a real treat for lovers of electronic and alternative music, with rising musical talents Linia Nocna and Oly taking to the stage. The fourth concert took place at the ibis Budapest Centrum hotel, with performances from two young, dynamic, bands. The versatile and exciting yesyes offered a set consisting of their most popular songs and the singer Myra Monoka moved the audience with her programme of contemporary R&B songs and emotional electronic pop. Poland hosted the final event of this year’s campaign with an evening at the ibis Kraków Centrum. This was a night for devotees of original sounds where musical innovation and non-standard approach to the classics comes together. Two groups on the ascent, Bluszcz and So Flow, ensured an evening of emotional highs and positive energy.

Thanks to the artists invited to perform during the ibis MUSIC campaign, the assembled guests had the chance to experience a real cross-section of sounds and voices, ranging from the pulsing emphatic to calm, lyrical texts.
